Shawn and Ana's wedding was a unique experience for me, because this time out, I was the best man and the main photographer. Busy, but enjoyable nonetheless. I brought two people along with me to make my participation (and partyface) possible. Jeff is my regular assistant; it was Christa's first time out.
The wedding was at the Steam Whistle Brewery, which is just a bit south of the Rogers centre. The building (called the roundhouse) used to be a maintainance depot for train engines, and still has the turntable in the middle, which was used to direct engines into one of 32 service bays.
I got really excited about shooting in a brewery what with all the shiny stainless steel and the industrial feel. Makes for really great contrast with the fancypantsness of a bride and groom done up to the nines. We also went to Cedarvale park, in my old 'hood, to take shots on the bridge overlooking a beautiful urban ravine.
Special bonus: The Jonas Brothers were playing across the street at the Rogers Centre.
Extra Special Bonus: Comic Con was also across the street, hence the storm troopers marching past in the 4th shot.
Update: more photos here.
