I was asked to make an art piece for an upcoming show; fifty items are being produced by various artists, and after the show they are to be sold with the proceeds going to literacy programs. The challenge: we were all given a 6x6 inch shadow boxes and told to go at it. There were potters, painters, photographers, and ninjas, and with few rules, I suspect the variations will be numerous.
The show takes place at 157 Garafraxa Street, Durham, from October 17-November 14, and the opening reception is on October 24th from 7:30 to 9:30. Viewing hours are Fridays 1-8 and Saturdays 9-5.
