For the sixth year in a row, Bruce County Tourism has invited everyone to take their Adventure passports and Explore the Bruce!

It's simple. You can get an adventure passport here or at any of the passport stops listed here. At each of the stops, punch your passport with the puncher provided. There are twelve stops in all, and you can get a bonus punch if you find the big, marked Toyota Tundra. When you get at least seven punches, send in your card to be entered in the draw for great prizes. Get all twelve punches to receive a free t-shirt.

We recently spent three days getting visiting all of the stops, camping at Bruce Peninsula National Park and Inverhuron Provincial Park along the way. Here are a few of my favourites from the 600 or so I took.

Exploring the Bruce

A few quick shots from last weekend's wedding. Who knew Federation Hall (at the university of Waterloo) could be so gorgeous? Who would have expected so many cool locations at one B&B (psst! it was Leisure Estates in Elmira)? I had a great time, and so did P and M- it was all over their faces. By the time the evening was over, I was spent, with a full belly and a basket full of great images.

Platinum Sweat rocked the Raccoon last Saturday night, and I managed to catch their sweaty, high-energy set. Okee started off the night, and as he wound down, Josh took to the board for some collaborative efforts. But when Jonathan (bedecked and bedazzled-see the pics) took the mic, it was clear that the Sweat was about to fly.

The night was full of upbeat, danceable tunes, and the floor filled with folks who shook it until the place shut down to the sounds of DJ Profit at the tables.

After Saturday's snow, I was glad to see the sun come out for today's shoot. Meghan and Rob were very chill, and, in an effort to maximize awesomeness, we played and shot on the playground equipment. The idea for shooting in the spinning-net-thing just came to me yesterday. You have to be ready to act on inspiration!

I've been coaching the high school mountian bike team, and we're having an awesome season. At yesterday's race, we won three of six divisions, and in one of those, we claimed six of the top ten spots.

Booyah.

The race was at Allen Park, near Hanover, Ontario. The loop was 5.6 km long, and its tough climbs were rewarded with open, swooping downhill sections that allowed for lots of passing. Making the day even better: the triliiums were just starting to bloom.

After a long Winter's hibernation, shooting season starts again!

This shoot with Stacey and Scott started on the beach, moved to the old train station, then back to a cool bridge before finishing near some hydro towers. We tried to schedule the shoot for Saturday, but couldn't make it work. Good thing! Contrast Saturday's cold and snow with the sun and blue skies of Sunday-no comparison.

Southampton engagement shoot-first look

The school company just finished its run of the musical Bye Bye Birdie, for which I shot some headshots. I had my own kids with me for the shoots, and to keep them entertained, I brought along their toy light sabers. But when my kids started watching inspector gadget on YouTube, the sabers ended up sitting idle, so we incorporated them into the shoot.
